Objectives of the Function
- The Infrastructure and Security Specialist will assist in creating adaptable and secured infrastructure solutions while also managing procurement, security enhancements, and operations. Their role includes managing partner relationships to optimize infrastructure for organizational growth and security.
Responsibilities:-
- Work as an infrastructure solution specialist to source, develop and presenting business-focused proposals to business stakeholders.
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager to create optimised and flexible infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and future expansion.
- Design and implement the reliable, future-proof, secure and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
- Manage the procurement process, including quotation request, negotiation, recommendation, goods receipt/service acceptance and payment submission.
- Support the Infrastructure Manager in improving IT infrastructure security and governance by establishing guidelines and enforcing industry-standard security measures.
- Lead administration of the infrastructure systems and services including network connectivity, computing, backup, identity management, email and communication solutions.
- Ensure that outsourced partners fulfil contractual obligations for supporting and maintain the infrastructure systems and services.
Requirements:-
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in infrastructure design, planning and implementation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Good team player and process driven with eyes for details.
- Preferably certificated in networking and system technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies.
- Familiar with infrastructure solutions from Microsoft, HPE and Checkpoint.
- Broad technical knowledge across the IT infrastructure domains, such as network and telecommunication, servers, storage, cybersecurity, monitoring software and cloud computing technologies.
