Responsibilities (FPSO FEED and Detail Engineering)
- Responsible for preparing Instrumentation drawings and design work like, system block diagram, termination diagram, deck arrangement layout (F&G detector, field instrumentation, etc), room arrangement layout.
- Perform 3D modelling for instrumentation equipment/material and take part in the 3D model review workshop to resolve clashes and arrangement issues with other disciplines/trades.
- Prepare and issue 2D shop/construction drawings based on the complete 3D model.
- Familiar with cable schedule preparation and cable length estimation based on 2D General Arrangement.
- Works closely with drafting specialist for the preparation and modification of technical design specification, drawings (i.e. IFA, IFC and etc.), and the sequence of operations for Instrumentation design
- Review and consolidate MTO, weight information, and equipment list provided by engineering subcontractor under the guidance of senior team member
- Guides junior team members in the generation of detailed Instrumentation construction drawings (i.e. layouts, interconnection & termination diagram and etc.) by utilising specific drafting software and tool in the engineering network systems
- Performs basic engineering calculations for the generation of instrumentation document / drawings and cost estimates under the guidance of senior team members
- Perform vessel site visit / inspection and coordinates with Instrumentation engineers and other discipline engineers, drafting specialists, subcontractors and consultants, to check and to verify for the preparation of MTO / BOM
- Responsible for Instrumentation design data collection, analysis in order to support project feasibility studies, preparation of tender/ construction documents as well as basic and detailed design drawings
- Assembles Instrumentation design engineered submittal manuals/ booklets including AutoCAD drawings, sequence of operations, bill of materials list, diagrams, etc. and provides copying support for contractors/ customers
- Liase with vendors to obtain updated information, when required and maintains Instrumentation design submittal filing system (i.e. AutoCAD and etc.) in the engineering reference library
- Attend meetings with project stakeholders as required to resolve engineering issues.
