The Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) is led by A.STAR, Ministry of Health (MOH) Singapore, SingHealth, National Healthcare Group (NHG), and National University Health System (NUHS). DHA supports innovators in driving adoption and scaling of market ready or near-market ready digital health solutions. DHA is hosted by Singapore's Diagnostics Development Hub (DxD Hub).
The DHA integration engineer is responsible for planning and developing workflow and technical interfaces between healthcare IT systems. She/He will work with DHA Project Managers, Solution Architects, health systems and companies to accomplish this objective. She/He may also be called upon to advise other developers on integration standards.
Responsibilities:
- You'll be involved in the development, design, build, testing, and go live phases of multiple integration projects.
- This includes scripting to conform / transform to another systems specifications.
- You will also work with internal teams to continuously improve processes and procedures around deployment of interoperability products that communicate in HIT standards-based formats such as HL7, IHE Profiles, Direct, or SMART on FHIR.
- The Integration Engineer oversees the development of new interfaces and maintain the sandbox environment up to date for application testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in HCIT integration using established and contemporary interoperability standards (e.g. HL7, SMRT, FHIR)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, and communication using secure protocols.
- Ability to work in a team environment alongside developers and deployment teams.
- Utilise engines like Mirth Connect or Rhapsody to have a standard way of integration using both HL7 and DICOM
- Knowledge in developing and configuring Context Launch requirements according to AES 256 standards.
- Assess and customise integrations (HL7 / FHIR / DICOM) based on the project to specific workflow.
- Experience with cloud deployments and/or pipelines, especially Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Experience with popular healthcare integration engines with ability to recommend and/or select different integration approaches depending on the desired outcomes for the system.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with project stakeholders from different backgrounds (e.g. technical, clinical)
- Experience integrating with Singapore public hospital technical stack and working with Synapxe are a plus.
