Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January
- Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.
DESIGNATION : Intern - Data Analytics
RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will be working closely with the Supply Chain Business Insights core team in identifying datasets, exploring and analysing data for building statistical models to support data-driven business strategic decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with data marts, reporting dashboards that improve business decision-making
Support end-to-end data projects; identify issues, gather information from various sources, analyse huge data, interpret patterns and trends, build models, give recommendations, and create insightful automated reports.
Support data mining and forensic review for completeness & accuracy.
Streamline and drive process improvements for operational excellence
Be a steward of good data practices robust documentation, process and knowledge sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Data / Business Analytics, Statistics or related fields.
Has knowledge and understanding of Data Analytics related fields.
Experience in creating reports and dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio) and building data marts using SQL
Efficiency in open source languages such as Python, R.
Analytical mind and business acumen with ability to work with large amounts of data to discover patterns and trends and to form conclusions based on findings.
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Working hours and days: 8.15am to 5.35pm, 5 working days
Internship period: 3-6 months (starting Jan/Mar/Apr 2024)
