Global Internship Program:
Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Graduate Data Science intern.
As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. About Team:
The Lab Operations Department provides a range of services for clients including providing tests and assays across multiple departments. These may include chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, genomics, anatomic pathology and histology, microbiology immunology and targeted cell isolation. In particular, the central laboratory services in Singapore handles the
Internship Assignment Summary:
Student will acquire hands-on practical experience working for a drug development company.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of clinical testing systems and processes at a central laboratory, from sample collection to testing
Lead a novel project utilizing predictive analytics to develop a scalable forecasting tool through real world clinical studies, applicable across multiple studies, departments, and geographic locations.
Benefit from structured instruction and mentorship throughout the internship.
Engage with global and regional stakeholders across various departments to understand diverse perspectives and workflow
Learn to understand different aspects of the clinical studies business, including statement of work, protocols and SOPs.
Gain insights into laboratory operations, including challenges related to inventory management, forecasting, trend analysis and metrics reporting.
Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your soft skills and professional presence
Conclude the internship by presenting the forecasting tool/template developed to demonstrate its modelling effectiveness, accuracy and reliability
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Open to current Graduates with Masters of Science degree (Biological Sciences/Biomedical/Data Science/Precision Health).
Competent in Power BI and predictive analytics. Ability to program and previous AI experience would be a bonus.
Good organization and multitasking ability.
Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance team environment.
