Job Description

Education required: Bachelor in Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Engineering

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a University for the duration of your Internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Expected Start Date: May/June 2024

Internship Duration: 6 months

What will you do

Where does the role fit

This internship focuses on delivery of enabling projects to ensure that Value Stream 2 (VS2) remains the choice building for New Product Introduction for GSK globally, to supply new medicines to our patients.

The scope of the internship will mimic the role of a production engineer leading operational improvement projects through the use of Lean Six Sigma tools, Digital Data & Analytics, and platforms such as Power BI, Power Apps & Microsoft Excel.

The intern will be exposed to the operations of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) multi-purpose, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment, with opportunities to learn new manufacturing technologies and be exposed to digital manufacturing in line with the companys ambition to be Future Ready.

There will also be opportunities to work with fellow interns and Engineers / Chemists / Scientists from different departments to deliver improvement projects, which creates a great opportunity for networking within the organisation.

What are we looking for

Educational background Undergraduate studying Bachelor in Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Engineering who is interested in learning more about operational improvements

Strong written and oral communications skills

Excellent English proficiency

A keen interest in production

Meticulous, organized, and dedicated

Apply his/her knowledge of engineering and learn soft skills in engaging different stake holders to deliver a project.
