The Department and position

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.

The candidate will be involvedwithmany front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems.The candidate will also be in touchwith business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.

The candidate will join the Singapore Capital MarketData and Regulatory ReportingITteamin charge of supportingapplications forData management and Transaction Regulatory Reporting.

The team works closely with otherupstream anddownstream systems such asFrontand BackOfficeapplications(Orchestrade, Summit, Calypso, Murex etc.),teamsmanaging Referentialdata(Customer data,FinancialInstrument information)and Regulatory gateway to report transactions to DTCC or directly to regulators.

• Business Analysis:Providing functional business analysis for capital markets, gaining understanding about regulatory compliance topics and documenting business requirements for agile software development.
• Automation:Appetite for continuous improvement and automation.Demonstrating a deep passion forsoftwaredevelopment,especially inJava,Python,Shell Scripting andSQL.
• Interest inInvestment Banking:Apetiteto understand the business activities of the bank on Capital Markets.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn aboutCapitalMarkets and Regulatory Reporting:Multipleapplications coveringinvestment bankingworkflowsrelated to local and international Regulatory Reporting requirements for MAS, HKMA, KRX, JFSA, EMIR, MIFID, CFTC etc.

Qualifications and Profile

Candidates should have:

• Proficiency inJava andPython programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness tolearn and excel in the IT field.
• Excellent Aptitude, Curious to learn and inquisitive.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Autonomous,self motivatedand excellent team player.
• Fluency in English - as acting in a multi-cultural environment.

The scope will be adapted depending on the situation and the progress of the trainee.

Education & Work Experience:

• Completed a relevantMaster'sorBachelor's programfrom a recognized institution.
• Master'sorBachelor'sdegree inComputers Science/ITor equivalentdomain is preferable.

Shift Timings:

Asia shift works from 9AM to 6:30PMSGT.
