We are a small, inclusive private school in Singapore offering classes to both mainstream children and children with developmental or academic challenges.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our school. You will work alongside our allied health professionals - Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Speech Therapists (STs), assisting in group therapy sessions designed to support children in reaching their developmental milestones.
Job Role
- Assist in group or individual therapy sessions, guiding children through activities designed to enhance social, motor, cognitive, and communication skills.
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each child's needs, under the guidance of our allied health professionals.
- Provide behavioral and academic support, helping children improve attention, reduce disruptive behaviors, and adopt effective learning strategies.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and teachers, to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Offering support to classroom teachers as needed.
We are seeking individuals who have:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field.
- Entry Level position. Candidates Seeking Hands-On Experience in OTs or SLT work in the future.
- Individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in a relevant field, especially those committed to supporting children with special needs, are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Singaporean citizenship or permanent residency.
- Able to start January 2025.
