Job Description: Inventory Assistant
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our dynamic team
at our Vet Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory
management and a preference will be given to those with experience using EzyVet, our
practice management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- . Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications, and other
- hospital materials.
- . Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet.
- . Assist with ordering and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- . Organize and label stock to ensure efficient accessibility and rotation of items.
- . Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- . Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and manage stock
- levels accordingly.
- . Help implement and maintain inventory management policies and procedures.
- . Prepare and submit inventory reports to hospital management.
- Qualifications
- . High school diploma or equivalent additional education in veterinary technology or a
- related field is a plus.
- . Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a veterinary or
- healthcare setting.
- . Proficiency with EzyVet or similar practice management software is highly preferred.
- . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- . Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- . Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed.
