Responsibilities
Business Development Supoprt and Oversight (BDO)
- Manage the Commitment process (organization of Commitment Committees, advice on the process, templates, preparation of minutes of meeting), from project origination to closing memo
- Ensure compliance of the investment decisions with the group guidelines and processes
- Support the review of the development and investment notes
- Prepare financial models to assess the returns of the project, set the project tariffs/prices, and support the investment decision making process, based on inputs provided by the project teams. Assess the risk profile of each project
- Engage with the BD community to ensure proper knowledge transfer and transparency (training on the BDSO process, key financial concepts etc)
- Liaise with and support the team in charge of BDSO at Group level for the management of the ES global and regional Commitment processes (provide updates on the project progress, pipeline, ensure the issuance of the required notes and memos in a timely manner, in liaison with the project teams)
- Monitor project pipeline and provide reporting on the projects submitted to the Commitment committee on a quarterly/yearly basis
- Update the financial model template on a regular basis, based on group directions
- Provide supporting documentation for funding of the projects won as requested by Treasury
Financial Reporting
- Project Business Plans updates (for asset based projects)
- Support comparison against: Budget, Original Business Plan & the updated Business Plan
- Support capex spending optimisation (capitalisation of staffing costs)
- Support impairment and goodwill assessment during audits
- Support annual budget/MTP preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience with track record of relevant financial modelling experience in project finance, transaction advsiory or corporate development, preferably in Power or Infrastructure industries.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Goal getting, driven, committed, with strong planning and execution capabilities.
