The Investment Analyst role involves conducting research on private equity funds, evaluating fund managers and co-investment opportunities, and analyzing portfolio performance. The analyst will assist in identifying emerging trends, monitor investments, and support the team in presenting findings and investment recommendations. Collaboration with external fund managers will be key to gaining insights into strategies and market outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on private equity funds, including performance metrics, strategies, and market trends
- Assist in identifying investment opportunities, including co-investment options, and support team in presenting findings.
- Assist in identifying emerging trends in the private equity landscape to inform investment decisions.
- Evaluate fund managers and co-investments
- Collaborate with external fund managers to gain insights into their strategies, performance, and market outlook
- Analyze portfolio performance, actively monitor investments and prepare performance reports
- Participate in ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
- 1-4 years of experience in financial services, preferably in private equity, asset management, investment banking, accounting or consultancy
- Basic understanding of private equity structures, fund performance metrics, and valuation techniques
- Familiarity with company analysis and the ability to evaluate potential co-investment opportunities
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a strong attention to detail in interpreting financial statements
- Strong communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration with team members and external partners
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of private equity strategies is a plus.
