Job Description

My client is a prominent US headquartered asset manager with approximately $250 billion in assets under management (AUM), specializing in exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

They are seeking highly motivated, competitive self-starters to join their sales team in the Singapore office. This role offers an unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment under the guidance of a seasoned Sales Leader. The business has a proven track record of growth, and they are looking for individuals with a demonstrated ability to succeed in competitive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and reaching out to prospective clients via phone calls, emails, and social platforms to establish relationships and secure meetings for your external partner. A minimum number of outbound sales calls is expected daily.
  • Maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships through follow-up calls and regular communication.
  • Ensuring that all client interactions, meetings, and call notes are accurately recorded in the CRM system, with up-to-date client data.
  • Building trust with clients through ongoing communications, leveraging company resources such as market commentaries, webinars, and presentations.
  • Responding to inbound client inquiries, including portfolio analysis and fund comparisons.
  • Driving client attendance to company-hosted events, lunches, and dinners, and attending them as needed.
  • Staying informed on market news and industry trends to enhance client conversations.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the company's full product range including ETFs, Unit Trusts, Mutual Funds, Structured Investments etc

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of financial/investment products
  • A strong desire to learn and grow your financial expertise.
  • Proven success in sales or a competitive environment (could be in sports, business, etc.).
  • Ability to liaise with Chinese speaking stakeholders in the North Asia region.
  • Confidence in speaking with clients via phone, video conference, and in person.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Resilience and the ability to handle setbacks and rejection with determination
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a pipeline of prospects and opportunities efficiently.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sales Navigator for lead generation is a plus.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently without constant oversight.
