The Investment Manager is responsible for accurate and timely delivery of portfolio performance analysis reports. He/She monitors performance indicators for investment portfolios, calculates investment returns.

Select Investors is a division of St. James's Place Wealth Management (Singapore) which focuses upon the needs of more affluent clients/HNW with cross border needs.
This division within SJP was set up with the aim of building long term relationships with our clients as trusted partners. By providing a complete blend of Tax Consulting, Wealth Management and Succession Planning advice, we aim to take the best of Financial Planning and Private Banking and bringing it together into one solution for our affluent clients/high net worth clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the formation of investment strategies for both potential and existing clients.
- Proactively managing client relationships and updating clients regularly on portfolio performance and relevant market and economic trends - using and updating the client matrix and Salesforce.
- Assist in drafting various investment-based collaterals including weekly market updates, monthly macro EDM and monthly investment recommendation templates.
- End to end management of all trading - including submission and checking of trades.
- Management of money market holdings and drip feeding strategies, for both in-house and third-party products.
- Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of portfolio performance analysis reports.
- To provide brief, meaningful macro updates to Partners during the MSMs
- Keep up to date with both in-house and third-party investment funds and portfolio models.
- Complete critical yield calculations for evaluating the suitability of continuation or replacement of existing solutions.
- Ultimately responsible for the retention of FUM/AUM
- Adaptable to flexible work hours.
Skills and Competencies:
- Experienced hire with preferably 5-10 years work experience in financial services, banking, wealth management or Investments.
- Degree holder, preferably specialising in Investment Finance.
- Possesses excellent communication skills as the individual needs to foster relationships with both clients and a wide range of internal stakeholders, as well as guide and influence these stakeholders to agree upon the investment strategies
- Confident and proficient in client facing activities including portfolio review meetings, investment recommendations etc.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to derive valid conclusions on portfolio performances
- Have strong grasp of portfolio performance analysis and valuation techniques, championing best practices and methodologies
- Responsible and accountable, able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Embracing change - enthusiastically adapts to changing situations and accepts new challenges and initiatives, adapts style to suit audience, deals effectively with ambiguity and maximizes opportunities presented by it
- CFA or relevant qualifications (CMFAS M5, M9 M9A, M8, M8A and HI) will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, FE Analytics, for analysis and client communication
KPIs:
Client Retention - This is to be measured on an annual basis, from 1st Jan to 31st of December, including both SJP and third-party policies. A retention of at least 95% of clients is expected, an annual bonus will be 50% dependent upon this metric. Clients sold to other Partners will be discounted.
Client Servicing - To ensure that client servicing is completed as set out in the client matrix, and recorded within Salesforce, for the purposes of PQS.
Quarterly Market Outlook Reports - Timely production and distribution of quarterly market outlook reports.
