Our client is a global law firm. The IS Security Engineer will oversee and manage the firm's security systems and practices in line with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse security system reports for suspicious activities and trends across various platforms.
- Configure and maintain security products, including firewalls, web proxies, and encryption systems.
- Respond to alerts and incidents as part of the Incident Response Team, minimising asset exposure.
- Troubleshoot IS security issues and collaborate with vendors for solutions.
- Conduct risk and security reviews of products as directed by management.
- Configure access control systems and assign user rights appropriately.
- Recommend security controls to align with the overall information security strategy.
- Monitor security metrics, manage patch status, and assess system vulnerabilities for remediation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in information security.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking, Active Directory, and NTFS necessary.
- Familiarity with security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus systems, and web filtering.
- Experience with encryption methods, patch management, vulnerability scanning, and forensic tools.
- CISSP or equivalent certifications will be a plus.
- Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for security incidents and support.
