Job Description
Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operational and systems support. Additionally, you will be involved in architecting and administering security operation tools to enhance the security posture of systems.
Duties and Responsibilities Overview
- System and Security Administration: Perform routine administrative tasks for IT systems and security tools, and address system failures by implementing corrective actions.
- IT Solutions Across Technologies: To work on technical support for diverse IT environments including physical servers with GPUs, storage arrays, virtualization, networks, firewalls, web servers, and database technologies.
- System Management: Manage system capacity planning, fault management, performance monitoring, software upgrades, and security patching.
- Infrastructure Upgrades: To come up and manage upgrades for IT infrastructure components and tools
- IT Operations Management: Oversee the IT team's daily operations, ensuring efficient resolution of incidents, prioritization of support tasks, and continuous improvement in processes.
- Collaboration and Compliance: Assist with IT teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to advise on IT policies, operations, and compliance, ensuring systems adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Vendor and Team Performance: Monitor KPIs and track team and vendor performance to ensure effective IT service delivery.
- Audit Management: Lead responses to audits and manage closure of audit findings related to IT infrastructure and operations.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Over 8 years of hands-on IT experience, with at least 3 years in infrastructure solutions.
- Expertise: Proficiency in systems administration, virtualization, network/firewall management, and operational/security tools.
- Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL, ISO27001, and similar frameworks.
- Technical Skills:Server OS management (Linux, Windows)
Microsoft clustering and Active Directory
Tools like HCL BigFix, Trend Micro Vision One, and Splunk
VMware virtualization and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) - Key Qualities: Quick learner, problem-solver, team-oriented, and skilled in communication.
