We are looking for a skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and oversee complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful execution from planning through completion. This role requires expertise in server and storage technologies, resource management, and budget management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, experience with escalation management, and strong skills in customer relationship and third-party vendor management. A PMP certification is preferred, as is a tertiary degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:Develop detailed project plans for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely execution, resource allocation, and alignment with client objectives.
Lead the implementation of server, storage, and related infrastructure technologies, coordinating with technical teams for smooth deployment.
- Resource and Budget Management:Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and adherence to financial targets.
Oversee project resources, tracking performance and ensuring optimized resource utilization across project activities.
- Customer Relationship and Vendor Management:Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality service.
- Risk, Escalation, and Problem Resolution:Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent issues before they arise.
Address escalations, resolve project-related problems, and provide timely solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Reporting and Communication:Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
Facilitate project meetings, both internally and with clients, to ensure alignment on project progress and deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Proven experience in IT infrastructure project management, with a strong background in servers, netwroking and storage technologies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP certification preferred.
- Technical Skills:Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including server and storage solutions, and experience managing large-scale technology projects.
Familiarity with resource and budget management tools and best practices.
- Soft Skills:Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations effectively.
Ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure project success.
