Job Description Details
Network and Server Maintenance
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage the health of network systems (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Configure and maintain servers, including file, application, database, and web servers.
- Ensure security patches and software updates are applied to prevent vulnerabilities.
System Administration
- Manage and administer operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Handle user account management, permissions, and access control.
- Conduct regular backups and recovery planning to protect data and ensure business continuity.
Technical Support
- Assist end-users with connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for recurring problems to improve efficiency.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor infrastructure performance using monitoring tools and address issues to maintain optimal performance.
- Identify opportunities to optimize resources, reduce costs, and improve efficiency in infrastructure usage.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure comprehensive business continuity planning.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other IT teams, such as software development or data teams, to align infrastructure with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical departments to translate technical issues and requirements into understandable terms.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Diploma or Professional Certification or Bachelor's Degree in IT or related Fields
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years experience in IT support, infrastructure deployment or systems administration
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge in IT infrastruture with hands-on experience in hardware, servers, storage, netowrking and system setups.
- Proficiency in managing and deploying cloud-based services.
- Troubleshooting and technical support skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues especially in a remote or hybrid work setting
- Familiar with security protocols such as firewalls, VPNs and encryption
- Background in participating in or managing IT projects especially in deployment will be added value.
