IT Operations Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive IT Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our IT infrastructure and applications. You will handle operational tasks ranging from deployment to security management, ensuring that our systems are efficient, secure and reliable.

Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

1. Managing and executing operational tasks relating to IT infrastructure, systems and applications.

2. Performing deployment activities, including software installation, configuration changes and system updates/patches.

3. Ensuring the security and stability of IT systems by applying patches, security updates and conducting vulnerability assessments.

4. Monitoring system performance, troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and maintain optimal system functionality.

5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation strategies.

6. Maintaining documentation of system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

. Proven experience in IT operations, systems administration or a similar role.

. Strong knowledge of operating systems (eg. Windows, Linux), network protocols and server hardware.

. Understanding of security principles and best practices, including patch management and vulnerability assessment.

. Proficiency in scripting languages (eg. PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate tasks and streamline operations.

. Ability to assist with troubleshooting issues and propose resolutions.

. Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders.

. Strong attention to detail.
