IT Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Project Manager - Enterprise Digital Transformation & IT Projects will drive the execution of key digital transformation and other enterprise-wide change initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. This role involves planning, managing, and delivering projects from conception to completion, ensuring effective collaboration between stakeholders, maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards, and achieving desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and reports directly to the CIO.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ProjectPlanning & Execution:
. Lead end-to-end management of digital transformation and IT projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
. Establish project goals, deliverables, scope, and success metrics with stakeholders.
. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as charters, plans, schedules, risk assessments, and reports.
2.Stakeholder Management:
. Engage with cross-functional teams (IT, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Sales) to gather project requirements, align on objectives, and manage expectations.
. Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure regular project updates and timely feedback.
. Coordinate and manage external vendors and contractors, ensuring alignment and delivery to project standards.
3. Risk Management & Problem Solving:
. Identify,assess, and address project risks to prevent delays and budgetary impacts.
. Resolve challenges and project issues using effective critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
. Implement corrective actions when necessary, ensuring transparency with stakeholders on changes and updates.
4.Budget & Financial Management:
. Oversee project budgets to ensure efficient allocation and adherence to financial constraints.
. Track expenditures, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and provide regular financial updates to the management team.
5.Quality Assurance & Compliance:
. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
. Coordinate testing and validation processes with the Quality Assurance team.
. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for future improvement.
6. Reporting & Analytics:
. Prepare detailed status reports and presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
. Use data-driven metrics to assess project health, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
. Offer recommendations on digital transformation strategies and project portfolio management based on analysis.
Qualifications:
. Education:
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
. PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant certification preferred.
. Experience:
. 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level digital transformation and IT projects.
. Industry experience in financial services or insurance is advantageous.
. Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
. Skills:
. Strong leadership and communication skills.
. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
. Effective in problem-solving and strategic thinking
. Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
. Basic familiarity with IT systems
. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
