Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) incorporated in 2000, is a wholly-owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It is created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users.
The Senior/Project Manager is required to plan, design, manage and oversee the development, implementation, integration, support and operations of new and existing application systems and digital services that create value for customers.
What you will be working on
- Oversee the design, development and implementation of web applications, technology services and integration of application systems across different technology platforms.
- Translate high-level requirements and reference use cases to develop into detailed process flows, wireframes and mobile, responsive UX design systems.
- Conceptualize, innovate and perform feasibility study of new or improved products and services based on user requirements.
- Work closely with users on leveraging IT to effectively support their business needs and services as well as to improve current work operations and innovation of new services.
- Prepare proposal and storyboarding of IT solutions to get buy-in from users and managements.
- Manage the vendors and contracts to ensure that the performance of vendors and deliverables are in accordance to the tender and service level agreements.
What we are looking for
- Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
- At least 5 - 8 years of relevant working experience in IT environment.
- Possess experience in IT application development & maintenance, and experience in managing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Possess experience in web and/or mobile development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
- Experience in agile development process and user experience design is desired.
- Knowledge of technologies like library management/automation systems, IoT and RFID has an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9000 standards.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to manage relevant stakeholders.
