Our client, a leading IT multinational, is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to join their team. This role is pivotal in managing IT security systems, offering account management and technical support to both clients and vendors while ensuring seamless support for internal teams across the APAC region.
What will you be working on
- Implement and maintain security configurations across IT infrastructure (e.g., M365, Google Workspaces, ClickUp, Bitbucket).
- Provide guidance to IT managers at group companies, ensuring alignment with headquarters directives.
- Continuously analyze and manage system logs to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Stay informed about emerging security vulnerabilities and respond proactively.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain secure operations.
- Address client inquiries related to proprietary applications, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.
- Automate repetitive tasks using programming skills to enhance efficiency.
- Regularly monitor system metrics, dashboards, and alerts to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate colleagues on IT infrastructure best practices and continuously update documentation.
- Work closely with the Tech department at Japan HQ to align on security measures.
What they're looking for
- More than 5 years of experience in IT-related fields, specializing in security systems and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Japanese (minimum JLPT N2) for effective communication with internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and regions.
- Solid understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Azure (Entra), and GCP.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and Power BI configuration.
- Familiarity with account management and data security protocols.
- Proven experience in monitoring and responding to security events, ensuring proactive measures are taken.
