Responsibilities:
To drive the technology masterplanfor digital transformation efforts
Architecture and System Design
- Design and implement scalable and efficient solution architectures to support research technology systems
- Ensure alignment with overall IT, security and data management policies
- Using your wide-ranging technical expertise, you will review current architectural system and identify solutions to ensure the company stays up-to-date with industry standards and best practices
- Conduct gap analysis and develop strategies for addressing deficienciesin current systems
- Create and maintain documentation for system architectures, designs, and processes to ensure clarity and continuity
Technical Point of Contact / Solutioning
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and effective solution designs
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring best practices in software development, integration, and deployment
- Define standards and guidelines for technology use across the organization
- Identify and assess emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending tools and solutions
Business Support
- Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with system/database administrators, development/support vendors, the IT operations team, and business stakeholders
- Assist in the training of end-users on new systems and processes, providing ongoing support as needed
- Prepare and present architectural/solution proposals to executive management and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in IT, Project Management, Business or related fields
- Experienced in Digital Transformation Technical Projects and Vendor Management
- Act as an IT Technical Internal Voice
- Knowledge of application design, development and outstanding project management
- Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and tools
- Understanding of application architecture and design principles
- Proven experience with system integration and related technologies/frameworks (e.g., REST, SOAP, API management)
Strong understanding / proficiency as below will be advantage:
- Tools and technologies such as microservices, enterprise architecture frameworks
- On-premise and cloud computing
- Software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices
- Database design and data management principles
- UI/UX best practices.
- Solutions Architec Microsoft Certified: Azure, AWS
- Knowledge in any of the following: MSSQL, MSAccess, VBA, Power Platform, Python
- Experience developing database driven applications with HTML/5, CSS/3, Bootstrap/4, JQuery, PHP (Laravel framework), Apache/NGINX
- Familiarity with the Market Research / Data Analytics industry
- Understanding of data protection legislation and/or cybersecurity
