To liaise with the different ICT internal and external providers/vendors for the technical management/support
Proactively attending to resolve vessel's IT operational issues, as well as contributing and sharing your technical expertise on broader vessel IT projects
Ensuring that vessel IT equipment and services and satellite communications are stable and available in accordance with business continuity.
Providing IT support and quality of service to all vessels
With the guidance of the Fleet IT Manager, overseeing the completion of thorough assessments of in-scope systems, applications, and processes to establish cybersecurity risks and control gaps
Proactive and open communication with the Fleet IT Manager in the implementation of updated cybersecurity methods and policies
Installing, testing, maintaining, and providing support for all on-board hardware and applications
Building and maintaining the databases for the fleet, ensuring that all relevant documentation and system logs are updated and remain current in content
Job Requirement
Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent
Networking skills and working knowledge with firewall and managed switch configuration.
Experience in Windows Server Administration, VMWARE and Virtualization implementation.
Logical thinker with a strong analytical background and good attention to detail while having strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and judgment.
Clear, precise, and confident in verbal and written communication to support credibility and position of expertise
Flexibility to work prolonged hours and travel as necessary.
Practical experience and working knowledge of vessel IT application management, database management, Cybersecurity practices, incident management, and (VSAT. L-Band, LEO) satellite communication equipment will ba advantage but not necessary
