(Japanese Speaking) Assistant Warehouse Manager | Food Distribution Company

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods.

This role requires the implementation of operational policies and procedures, implementation security operations and ensure the safety usage of warehouse equipment. The incumbent will act as a safety officer for the company.

Job Duties:

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Ensuring safety of staff.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
• Assisting with deliveries where require.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job requirements:

• Minimum a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Must be able to speak and understand Japanese due to job nature (liaise with management)
• Possess with forklift license.
• Possess with Class 3 driving license.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Good understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
• Location: Tanjong Penjuru
