Morgan McKinley is looking for a Java developer for a 12-months contract with our multinational client, a global leader in consulting and professional services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Java applications, and building efficient, scalable software solutions to fulfill client business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Java applications aligned with business requirements to deliver high-performance solutions.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand and refine project specifications.
- Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring compliance with best practices and coding standards.
- Perform unit testing and thorough debugging to guarantee quality and functionality in all applications.
- Engage in code reviews, providing insightful feedback to support team growth and maintain code quality.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in Java applications to ensure seamless functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Java Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming and development tools.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Hands-on experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or Struts.
- Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of database management systems, such as SQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies to support iterative development.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and services, such as AWS or Azure.
