Java Developer - FinOps - (1 year contract renewable)

Global Energy Trading group is currently looking for an experienced talented Java Developer to work on FinOps, including Back Office, Accounting, and Finance operations. You will be part of the APAC Development Team based in Singapore. Primary responsibility will be to work directly with FinOps business users, providing daily systems support and project work translating business requirements into effective IT solutions.

The main application you will be working on is built on a Java framework. Main activities include

• Developing new features & enhancing the tools:
• Write high quality source code to program enhancements
• Involved in integration testing as well as functional and non-functional testing
• Follow-the-Sun model including information sharing with global developer counterparts.

Requirements:-

• 5 - 8 years solid expertise in Java programming
• Good knowledge of the Spring framework
• Solid knowledge of SQL to be able to write complex queries (SQL Server)
• Rest API design and development
• Good troubleshooting skills to find out root cause of issue and provide resolution.
• Good ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle e.g. Agile
• Client-oriented mindset

Desirable :

• Open to pick up other programming languages frameworks like C#
• Knowledge of front, middle and back office processes and functional design on commodity trading including deal representation (both physical & financial), MTM pricing, logistics, settlement, accounting and controls
• Any Azure knowledge highly beneficial.
