Job Title: Java Developer
Job Type: 12 months contract with a possibility to extend or to go perm!
We are seeking a highly skilled Java expert to join our team as a Design & Build Enablement specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reading existing Java codes, extracting business rules, and designing APIs to invoke existing Java methods. Your primary focus will be on building robust and scalable APIs that integrate with our legacy system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read legacy JSP UI and Java codes to extract business rules and design APIs required to invoke existing Java methods
- Document API specifications, including request and response schema, variable mapping, and invocation details
- Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) to finalize design with clients
- Build APIs using Java and JUnit testing framework
- Work with BAs and React developers to support defect fixes
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Enterprise Java and related backend frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JPA, etc.)
- Experience with enterprise DBMS solutions, preferably IBM DB2
- Familiarity with JSP & JSF
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Familiarity with frontend UI development, particularly with React and Typescript
- Familiarity with Figma
Nice to Have:
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Certification in Java or related technologies
