We are seeking a Software Engineer skilled in Java web development to join a software firm for FinTech project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications and systems integrations required for the operation.
- Work closely with software engineers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.
- Provide maintenance support to customers by investigating and rectifying reported systems shortcomings during/after working hours when necessary.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and offer constructive feedback, while optimizing existing code for improved performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve legacy system issues, optimize code, and implement best practices to improve overall system efficiency.
- Analyze requirements and design solutions that address system challenges, boost performance, and enhance user experience.
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for code and system architecture.
- Understand the interdependencies of services (application, system, and database) and accurately identify problem areas to enhance overall efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Singaporean only.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in software engineering with proficiency in Java web development.
- Experience with solution design: Ability to design and implement solutions that address complex system issues and improve legacy systems.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to handle Mandarin speaking clients.
- Knowledge and experience insystems analysis, design, programming with knowledge in RESTful API architecture.
- Proficient in Java/J2EE, JSP, JSF, Spring Framework (Security, MVC, Cloud, Boot), SOAP, Web Services, Mybatis.
- Experience in cloud solution delivery, such as AWS.
- Prior experience in FinTech industry/projects (Blockchain/Capital Markets/Financial Payment) will be an added advantage.
