As a Jetstar Maintenance Control Engineer, you will be supporting Jetstar Asia Engineering & Maintenance team on ensuring all necessary maintenance required is identified, carried out on time and approved to take to the skies. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented and detailed records maintained. This keeps our safety standards at the highest level and allows us to ensure that aircraft parts are ordered and available at all times. It's a highly responsible, thorough and rewarding career path.
As part of the Jetstar Asia Engineering & Maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to ensuring the total airworthiness of our growing fleet of aircraft.
Reporting to the Jetstar Maintenance Control Manager, your main accountabilities will include:
- Act as a 24/7 technical and maintenance Control for 3K fleet aircraft.
- Co-ordinate AOG teams and execute plan for aircraft recovery both in Singapore and Overseas.
- Dispatch of aircraft with regard to control of defects, availability of spare parts, conformity with type design and the requirements of applicable operating rules.
- Co-ordinates with 3K Flt Operations on the fleet status and aircraft rotation requirements.
- Provide defect troubleshooting and defect analyses support to the Main Base in Singapore and Overseas Line Stations.
- Maintain a list of MRO contacts, and maintenance contacts of all overseas Line Stations through which 3K aircrafts operates.
- Identify, plan and position spares to support aircraft scheduled maintenance, defect rectification and AOG recovery both in Main Base and Overseas Stations.
- Monitor technical delays and out of service events daily.
- Administer the issue and maintain a log of JMC / CAAS Authorizations, and initiate LAE callouts at overseas line stations where maintenance action is required to attend to aircraft.
- MEL interpretation and recommendation to support the Line Stations and 3K Flt Crew.
To be considered for these roles you will ideally have:
- At least a minimum of 6 years experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment, with at least 2 years of recent experience in certification of Line maintenance.
- Hold a valid CAAS B1 Licence on A320 Aircraft type and must have V2500 engine endorsement.
- Holders of full B1 (with avionics extension) and experience working in Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) is preferred.
- Must be willing to upgrade and obtain additional licences.
- Good knowledge of A320 aircraft systems and engines.
- High levels of motivation with proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Able to multitask.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Team Player and self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be able and willing to work on shifts including weekend. Teamwork mindset, ability to multi-task and work in a multinational fast-paced environment
