The Junior Wedding Stylist Intern will assist senior designers in developing and executing creative concepts for weddings and events. Responsibilities include supporting design execution, sourcing materials, creating mood boards, and providing on-site styling support. The role also involves vendor coordination, trend research, client communication, and administrative tasks. Additionally, the intern will ensure quality control during events and assist with post-event breakdown.
Assist Senior Designers: Work closely with senior designers to develop creative concepts and styling plans for weddings and events.- Support Design Execution: Help in the execution of styling plans, including setting up decor elements, conceptualise floral designs, and ensuring all design components are properly implemented.
Source and Manage Materials: Assist in sourcing materials, props, and decor items needed for events, maintaining an inventory of styling supplies.
- Create Mood Boards: Help develop mood boards and design presentations for client meetings, showcasing potential design ideas and concepts.
On-Site Styling: Provide on-site support during event setups, ensuring all styling elements are arranged according to the design plan and making adjustments as needed.- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all decor and styling elements are delivered and set up correctly and on time.
Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in wedding and event styling to bring fresh ideas and inspiration to the team.
- Client Communication: Assist in client meetings, take notes, and help translate client preferences and ideas into actionable styling plans.
Administrative Support: Help with administrative tasks such as maintaining design files, updating client portfolios, and managing event logistics.- Quality Control: Ensure that all styling elements meet company standards and are executed flawlessly on event day.
Post-Event Breakdown: Assist with the breakdown and packing up of styling materials after events, ensuring all items are accounted for and returned in good condition.
Minimally a Diploma in Design, Event Planning, Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in event styling, interior design, or a creative field is a plus.
Strong creative and visual skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.- Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by event schedules.
