Junior Tooling Engineer (Drafter)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Tooling Engineer to support our engineering team with technical drawings, CNC programming, and tool inspection, ensuring that all customer requirements are met with precision and efficiency.

Job Scope:

Technical Drawing and Program Preparation -

• Generate product engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring that specifications and customer requirements are met with high precision.
• Prepare CNC machine programs using specialized software (e.g., ToolStudio) to facilitate production, subject to verification and approval by a senior engineer.

Inspection of Incoming Tools for Regrinding -

• Inspect incoming customer tools for regrinding, verifying tool condition and identifying regrinding requirements in line with quality standards.

Work Order and Documentation Management -

• Prepare detailed production work orders in line with company standards, ensuring clear and organized documentation for all projects.
• Maintain organized records of all work orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Certificates of Compliance as per the company's established filing framework.

Data Entry and Record Maintenance -

• Record production data accurately for performance tracking, ensuring accessible and well-organized records that support senior engineers in analysis and verification.

Quality Compliance -

• Submit all drawings and CNC programs for review, ensuring compliance with established procedures and accuracy standards before final approval.

Job Requirements:

Skills & Experience -

• Proven experience using CAD software knowledge of SolidWorks is advantageous.
• Understanding of CNC programming concepts familiarity with ToolStudio or similar software is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with strong spatial and computational skills to produce precise technical drawings.
• Experience with tool inspection or quality control is a plus.

Educational Background:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

Communication Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication in English (Mandarin proficiency is a plus).

This role is based in a structured, process-driven industrial environment with a focus on technical precision and compliance. You'll be working alongside a team of experienced engineers who will provide guidance and support as you gain hands-on experience.
