Job Responsibilities:
. Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, and meat.
. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and sweeping floors.
. Assist Chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as boiling, frying, and sauce preparation.
. Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report any issues for repair.
. Ensure that all food prepared meets the restaurant's quality standards.
. Manage inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies, ensuring freshness and availability.
. Assist in packing the food at counter during busy periods.
. Adhere to kitchen safety and hygiene standards to prevent accidents and food contamination.
. Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared on time.
. Other ad-hoc duties/ projects assigned by Director or Chef.
Requirements:
. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
