My client is a is a global MNC bank looking to hire an experienced
AML/KYC Review Analyst to join their dynamic compliance team on a 3 month contract basis. As an
AML/KYC Review Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory requirements and protecting the integrity of the business. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing customer onboarding documentation, conducting enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers, and supporting ongoing monitoring and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify KYC documentation and client information to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct thorough AML investigations, analyzing customer activity for potential suspicious transactions or behavior.
- Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons (PEPs), high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), and other elevated-risk entities.
- Assess risk profiles and ensure that customer data is accurately captured and updated in the system.
- Assist in the preparation of suspicious activity reports (SARs) and ensure proper documentation for compliance audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Compliance, Legal, and Operations, to resolve potential AML/KYC issues.
- Stay up-to-date on global regulatory changes and industry best practices related to AML/KYC requirements.
- Assist with periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in an AML/KYC compliance role, preferably within a financial institution or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations, including FATF, FinCEN, and local regulatory requirements.
- Experience with AML/KYC screening tools, transaction monitoring systems, and customer risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to conduct detailed investigations and perform risk assessments on client profiles.
- Familiarity with various customer identification programs and enhanced due diligence processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to management and regulatory authorities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma in AML) are a plus.
- Proficiency in using AML/KYC software and data management systems.
- Familiarity with global sanctions lists and adverse media screening tools.
