Deribit is a cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform and the global market leader in crypto options. We primarily serve large and professional traders, but also retail clients. Your activities include
Performing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new account openings, and period reviews of existing accounts, by reviewing and verifying KYC information, requesting documentation, and making an analytical risk assessment for new users, in order to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Ensuring new and existing accounts are screened correctly to identify potential matches with sanctions, PEP status and adverse media, and escalate any matches for further review and action.
Communicating effectively and efficiently with internal parties and (prospective) clients regarding the onboarding.
Proactively participating in the (development of the) entire onboarding process.
What we expect from you
3+ years of hands-on experience in KYC/AML.
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
Ability to operate independently.
Sound knowledge of and/or experience in working with FATF Recommendations is an advantage.
Proactive roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, prepared to meet challenges head-on.

A bit more about Sentillia and Deribit
Our companys story starts in 2014, when John Jansen came up with the bright idea to build a dead-fast and robust cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. A dedicated place where options and futures of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency could be traded in high volumes and with minimal delay (low latency), allowing traders to post thousands of orders per second.
The name of this platform: Deribit. The company that made it happen: Sentillia. Better known by our platform name, we were soon recognized as trusted pioneers in the field of crypto derivatives. We were the first to launch European-style cash-settled options on BTC and ETH, but we also made a name developing functionalities like multi-instrument block trading, market maker protection and portfolio margin for crypto derivatives.
