About the team
The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of KYC initiatives tailored for financial services and wallet operations, ensuring compliance and a smooth onboarding experience.
- Stay current with regulatory mandates affecting customer onboarding, maintaining strict adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Design innovative KYC procedures that comply with regulatory frameworks while supporting business growth and scalability.
- Monitor and enhance the efficiency of the onboarding processes, identifying improvement opportunities and driving initiatives to better service level agreements and the customer journey.
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and business development teams to ensure a unified approach to customer onboarding.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of KYC professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in KYC leadership within wallet, financial services, ecommerce or related fields
- Experience in KYC/KYB operation, merchant service/onboarding and/or customer service will be preferred
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations and best practices, including familiarity with KYC (Know Your Customer) processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach to work.
- Ability to strategize and implement effective customer onboarding frameworks.
