Discover Impactful Work
Assists with loading and unloading instruments. Participates in scheduled instrument maintenance to include startup and shutdown as directed by supervisor. Works with various teams and assists with the maintenance of laboratory systems and resources. Assists with preparation of laboratory reagents and solutions and aliquoting of specimens.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Makes decisions regarding sample quantity and quality based on predetermined criteria.
- Builds work lists and plate diagrams to aid team in daily operations.
- Enters laboratory results into database under supervision of team member.
- Aliquots specimen, prepares reagents and pipettes/aliquots reagents.
- Maintains pipette calibration for all areas of the laboratory.
- Maintains completed daily specimen storage area per laboratory department.
- Performs daily work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains pipettes calibration for all areas of the laboratory.
- Work with various teams to assist in the maintenance of laboratory systems and resources and assist aliquoting of specimens.
- Maintains calendar of Preventive maintenance/calibration of lab instrumentation and ensures it remains on schedule and properly prioritized throughout the day given the changing business requirements
Requirements
- Higher Nitec or Diploma in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology, Chemistry or equivalent. No experience required.
- Work schedule of Monday-Friday, working hours 10am - 7pm.
