Job Summary
We are looking for a Laboratory engineer who will be carrying out a range of high complex and varied laboratory tests, generates test data and concept-reports within deadlines and propose improvements of research methods and quality systems. Specific training will be provided such as senior secondary vocational education, additional technical education (or equivalent professional and intellectual capacities) and technical processes and procedures for the incumbent to be well-equipped for the necessary testings. Subsequently, the incumbent is required to guide and support junior team members.
About the Role
Implement policies, procedures and programmes to maintain safety and health at the workplace.
Perform laboratory testing and processing of laboratory test results.
Check laboratory test results conducted by in-house, offshore and third-party laboratories.
Create software application templates for data processing.
Train technicians in the theoretical aspect of soil laboratory testing.
Ensure the process conforms to client, statutory and management system requirements.
Inform / alert the Laboratory Manager of any discrepancy in testing procedures.
Perform other Laboratory related operations as and when required.
Willing to work on vessel for offshore site investigation work, if required.
About you
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Relevant experience in soil testing industry, preferably with minimum 1 year in laboratory testing
Good analytical ability, organizational and time management skills
Self-driven, possess excellent team spirit and good interpersonal skills
Preferably proficient in MS office applications
