Element has an opportunity for Laboratory Engineer (Geotechnical Laboratory) for Singapore
The Geotechnical Laboratory Engineer plays a vital role within the organisation, upholding the scientific rigor and analytical precision that underpin the integrity of our engineering solutions. This will be a site based position in Singapore
Core Responsibilities
- Supervising lab testing team on daily testing works.
- Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with the approved codes / standards and SAC-SINGLAS requirements.
- Ensuring quality, accuracy and timely output of work including data processing and report preparation.
- Maintaining equipment, test records and reports, etc.
- .Performing other duties relevant to the laboratory testing works as required, including preparing and testing soil, rock and concrete samples, etc., when assignment is received.

Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience
- Good working attitude and basic computer knowledge
- Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
- Good team player with ability to handle task independently
- Good Interpersonal and communication skill
- Ability to work overtime as and when required
- Good knowledge of soil and rock classifications
- Familiar with 5S and safety knowledge
- Capable in the testing, data processing and result reporting for Triaxial Tests, Oedometer Test, Direct Shear Test, Permeability Test, Physical Properties Tests and Rock/Concrete Compression Tests, etc.
- Completion of ISO/IEC 17025 2017 training course will be an added advantage.
