Major Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Pastor-In-Charge, the Lay Executive/Ministry Staff play a vital role in the church by providing spiritual, emotional, and social support to young adults, men and families. Main roles and responsibilities are: -
Spiritual Development & Growth
1. Lead or coordinate activities that help young adults and families grow in their faith.
2. Provide mentorship to young adults and families, guiding them in their spiritual journeys.
3. Organize and facilitate gatherings tailored for men that addresses the specific spiritual needs of men to deepen their faith and understanding of Scripture.
Program Development & Coordination
4. Develop programs for life stages such as marriage preparation, parenting, or discipleship of children and career transitions for young adults.
5. Strategize, plan and implement activities and programs to reach out to young adults and families in the community through social events, community gatherings, and service opportunities.
6. Work with the Pastor overseeing the YA Ministry as well as members of the YA EXCO to develop and ensure smooth running of all activities and programs related to the YA Ministry to ensure alignment with the church's overall vision and mission.
7. Organize men's retreats, accountability groups, prayer breakfasts, and events that promote spiritual growth, leadership, and fellowship among men.
Pastoral Care, Counseling & Nurture
8. Manage and maintain Young Adult (YA) life groups in PMC in providing pastoral care and fellowship opportunities and supporting the YA life group leaders in terms of training and resources to enhance group health.
9. Offer spiritual and emotional support to individuals, men, couples, and families in times of crisis, grief, or personal difficulty and provide guidance in resolving conflicts within families or among members of the YA ministry.
10. Provide emotional and spiritual support on the specific challenges men face, including leadership in the home, family crises, spiritual struggles, career pressures, and personal growth or job loss.
Outreach & Evangelism
11. Partner with Christian Outreach Ministry or local organization to reach unchurched young adults, men and families to share the Gospel.
Administrative and Leadership
12. Identify, recruit, equip and mentor volunteers to support ministry events and activities.
13. Plan and manage budgets and resources allocated for YA and family & men's ministry program.
14. Act as local church liaison for TRAC YA Ministry.
15. Any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by the Pastor-in-charge.
Requirements:
. A theological degree in a relevant field with a deep knowledge and understanding of ministry work in church environment.
. At least 3 years experience in young adult, youth, or family ministry with practical knowledge of leading faith-based programs and engaging with different age groups.
. Possesses strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
. A team player with great passion for working with volunteers, young adults and families.
. Be willing to work on Sundays.
