The role of Lead Consultant helps with less complex client business transformations by using Information Technology to create new opportunities. This role maintains knowledge of evolving trends within one emerging technology area and applies this to assist with the outlining of opportunities for client organisations in order to deliver new business capabilities, profitable business growth as well as competitive cost efficiencies. This role provides assistance with the analysis and interpretation of data to unearth issues, weaknesses and problems, comprehend the causes and formulate recommendations and solutions that will drive small business changes.
What You'll Be Doing
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is generally preferred.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in BIM, project management, or related fields can enhance prospects (e.g., LEED, PMP, or specific BIM certifications).
Work Experience
- 7+ years of experience in BIM management or related positions, demonstrating leadership in large-scale projects.
- Extensive experience in developing BIM execution plans, setting up project standards, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Experience in training and mentoring staff on BIM processes and tools.
- Proven experience in leading BIM implementation on projects, managing BIM workflows, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in using BIM software tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD) and knowledge of interoperability standards.
Collaboration and Communication Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software and tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, BIM 360).
- Understanding of modeling techniques, data management, and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to the construction industry.
- Experience in specific sectors (e.g., commercial, residential, infrastructure) can be beneficial.
- Understanding of emerging trends in construction technology, sustainability, and smart building practices.
