About the role:
- Report to the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) and assist with coordination and interfacing matters with contractors on site.
- Focus on inter-disciplinary construction management by assisting the CRE in coordinating the existing team of discipline Lead Resident Engineers, including liaising with the in-house Engineering Design Manager (EDM) on any outstanding design issues affecting immediate construction activities.
- Lead and coordinate construction work interfaces between contractors, including managing tie-ins and collaborating closely with the counterpart Interface Manager.
- Organize interface meetings between various contractors to facilitate resolution of coordination and tie-in point issues.
- Work with the BIM Manager to set up interface BIM walkthrough sessions as needed with the contractors.
- Provide project delivery planning updates on interfacing and tie-in points, specifically addressing MEICA issues given the project's current stage.
- Coordinate and expedite urgent RFA/RFI submissions regarding interfacing matters, particularly between EPC1 and EPC2.
- Attend site meetings as required by the CRE and work internally to resolve technical issues with contractors concerning interfacing matters, with a specific emphasis on MEICA issues.
- Participate in and follow up on interface and coordination matters arising from Weekly Progress Meetings, MEICA Erection Meetings, Contractors Interface Meetings, BIM Review Meetings, and other relevant sessions, ensuring coordinated completion of the works leading into the Testing and Commissioning phase of the project.
About you:
. A relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or registration with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
. At least 10 years of relevant experience in design coordination, MEICA interface management, and construction of large infrastructure and/or industrial projects, waste to energy plants, power plant projects, or waste/water management projects in Singapore is preferred but overseas/international experience will also be considered as relevant for a multidisciplinary experienced candidate.
