As a Lead Solution Designer for Enterprise Billing applications, you will be responsible for designing fit-for purpose and comprehensive solutions, ensuring the smooth operations of our billing systems. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects as well as the business requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, business users, and project managers to ensure that the billing applications meet the needs of the business while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Make an Impact by
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify impacted areas, translate into technical specifications.
Create detailed system architecture diagrams, data models, and workflow diagrams to illustrate the solution, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems.
Produce detailed Impact Analysis document, oversee the implementation of designed solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Develop and enforce coding standards, design principles, and testing procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered solutions.
Conduct thorough testing of the application to ensure it meets the expectation.
Provide 24x7 support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any issues that arise post-implementation.
Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in Telecom to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities and drive initiatives for operational excellence.
Skills for Success
Tertiary education with Degree in Computer Science, IT, software or computer engineering fields or equivalent.
Proven 15 years of IT working experience and at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing billing solutions.
Strong understanding of telecommunications billing processes, including rating, charging, invoicing, and revenue assurance.
Experience in technical areas: C++, Java, .Net, Python, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, cloud computing such as AWS, Azure.
Proficiency in data modelling, database design, and SQL query optimization.
Good to have:
Experience with billing systems such as Amdocs or CSG is highly desirable.
Telco domain knowledge in BSS/OSS and Kenan software knowledge.
Knowledge of industry standards and protocols such as TM Forums Framework (eTOM, SID) and billing standards (e.g., CDR, EDI).
Experience in using DevOps tools and CICD pipelines (JIRA, Bamboo, BitBucket, Nexus, SonarQube).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
