The Systems Engineer will join the firm's Systems Infrastructure Team, which is responsible for all layers of technology in our environment, from networking, to servers, and application services. The firm's infrastructure is built using modern technologies, with a focus on creating robust, reusable components and strategic use of automation. Our infrastructure team is flat it does not have dedicated support, engineering-only or project manager roles; team members are responsible for design, implementation, operation and support for our environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the company as the first member of the IT team in the Asia-Pacific region. As the Systems Engineer will report to the New York-based Head of Infrastructure, the person in this position must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement to ensure solutions align with company and team precedent and culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical aptitude in areas they have worked on previously and the ability to think systematically and reason about problems they have not yet seen. While new team members will receive support and mentorship from other members of the team, they are also expected to be able to perform research independently and propose solutions to problems that arise.
The position will start as remote and transition to an in-office role during the build-out of the new office and beyond. This role includes physical work to support the Singapore office, including overseeing and assisting initial setup for the new office as well as day-to-day in-person support and workstation adds/changes.
