About The Role

The Learning Experience Designer reports directly to the Senior Learning & Development Specialist. The role of Learning Experience Designer is to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students. The Learning Experience Designer will work closely with faculty, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to design and implement innovative educational solutions that enhance student learning and engagement.

What You Will Be Doing

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform content analysis to ensure alignment with learning objectives and university standards.
  • Collaborate with course writers, technologists to integrate educational technologies and multimedia elements to develop online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses by applying best practices in pedagogy and andragogy.
  • Develop and design interactive learning content and experiences that align with educational goals and learning outcomes.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing and make necessary changes based on test feedback before implementation of courses.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, latest educational trends and advancements in instructional design, e-learning in higher education.
  • Apply effective instructional approaches and integrate various educational technologies and tools.
  • Support the department in annual workplan and new initiatives implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, curriculum development, or a related field.
  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related area, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Possess ACTA/ACLP/DACE or strong pedagogical knowledge/practice in adult education.
  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience in training and development, preferably in adult education.
  • Experience in blended learning design, including conducting needs assessment, crafting of learning outcomes, and blending of facilitated learning and technology-enabled learning pedagogies.
  • Experience in the digital media or EdTech industries designing and developing learning solutions.
  • Excellent project management, communication, networking, interpersonal skills and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
