The Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) cluster at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) seeks dynamic applicants for a full-time lecturer, senior lecturer, or assistant professor (practice track) position in the digital/computational arts, who are skilled in areas like generative and AI art, digital painting, 3D modeling, installation and sound art, virtual/augmented reality, animation, or photography. Additionally, we are interested in those who can explore the intersections between art and design.
Applicants should have the equivalent of a Ph.D. in the digital arts or a related field such as, but not limited to, interactive media, AI and design, etc., and/or demonstrate a significant track record of artistic practice and teaching in the applicant's area of interest. Familiarity with the arts scene in Singapore or Southeast Asia is preferred. We are especially interested in candidates willing to contribute to our digital humanities minor programme and who can collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, fostering innovation between arts, engineering, technology, and design.
Successful candidates will develop and teach elective courses in their area of artistic expertise and sections of the Global Humanities first-year course, an interdisciplinary global texts and media course that draws on key works from a diverse range of cultural traditions from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and contemporary global contexts.

The current HASS faculty brings core expertise in anthropology, history, literature, psychology, sociology, urban studies, and the digital humanities.
We specifically seek artists with the potential for developing new directions in arts teaching and who are interested in joining an interdisciplinary group of scholars at an innovative engineering and design university.
