About the Practice

The China-Related Investments Disputes Practice specialises in acting for (a) Chinese interests in handling complex investment disputes; our clients include state-owned enterprises, multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals; and (b) other clients from all over the globe who may have disputes arising from investments into China. Our team is known for its deep understanding of Chinese culture, legal system, strategic litigation, and arbitration expertise.

Role & Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents in both Chinese and English.
• Management of legal files to deliver quality work within stipulated deadlines
• Active coordination and interface with clients in both Chinese and English to ensure smooth workflow and that clients are promptly updated
• Providing assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day work
• Dealing with any other related tasks as assigned from time to time

Key Skills and Experience

• Singapore qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Relevant experience in an established law firm with sound foundation in legal knowledge and skills.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to take instructions, liaise with clients, review, and draft legal documents in both languages.
• Commitment to technical excellence and delivering excellent client service.
• Possess initiative, drive and commercial acumen, and can work well both independently and in a team.
• Good research and drafting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
