Our client is a Financial Institution looking to recruit a Legal & Compliance VP to provide in-house advice and expertise on a broad range of legal and compliance topics.

about the job

Your responsibilities will be to:
. Provide sound, coherent and commercially minded legal and compliance advice on all matters relating to the organisation's day-to-day activities
. Work closely with management and internal stakeholders to structure, draft and negotiate on a host of legal documentation, agreements, contracts and manage the documentation process
. Review and provide recommendations on the legal and compliance aspects and considerations for the development and deployment of new products and services as well as new business initiatives
. Ensure the business is operating in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including AML/KYC requirements, data protection laws, and financial regulations

skills and experience required
. Bachelors of Law degree from a reputable institution
. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in banking or finance law, ideally with experience working in a financial institution or law firm
. Independent and self-motivated with excellent stakeholder management
