This role is responsible for providing legal, contractual and commercial advice for our company and its affiliates business in the APAC region, ensuring expertise in the areas of law, risks and compliance. This role would be supporting our business across locations, service offerings and industries with a particular focus on commercial and contractual aspects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive day-to-day Legal operations excellence through effective development and reviews of key Legal operations metrics
- Advise on contractual and commercial matters and legal issues involving governmental and regulatory law
- Review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage any customer, vendor, employment or any other disputes for the company
- Provide advice to management and human resources on employment matters
- Guide and support lines of business on legal and regulatory requirements
- Respond to ad hoc queries to include identification, analysis and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions
- Work closely with other lawyers across the organization and coordinate legal matters handled by external counsels
- Work with the regional and global teams to identify common concerns establish common standards and educate business on best practices in the region
- Collaborate with the legal department, internal audit and human resources as appropriate to investigate allegations of unethical behavior or other violations of Infosys policies recommend appropriate disciplinary and/or remedial measures and ensure such measures are promptly implemented
- Work closely with the company leadership regarding the relevant commercial and legal areas that affect their areas of business
Requirements
- Degree holder
- Qualified to practice law in Singapore
- At least 8 years of legal experience, preferably as an in-house lawyer or in combination with a law firm
Preferred Requirements
- Deep knowledge of laws of Singapore and experience in Information Technology Industry
- Knowledge on general corporate law on contracts
- Knowledge of employment and regulatory laws
