Job Title: Legal Director

Team: Commercial Litigation

Location: Singapore

Role

Legal Solutions LLC is looking for a Legal Director with at least 8 years of litigation experience to join its Commercial Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Singapore court work, arbitrations and construction experience including adjudications under the SOP Act. Asian language skills would be advantageous.

The Successful Candidate Will Have Experience In

  • Participating in business development, establishing and building client relationships
  • Working to tight deadlines as part of the team
  • Contributing to pursuits and pitches where appropriate and as required.
  • Conducting analysis on cases to develop appropriate legal arguments/solutions that are tailored to the commercial needs of your clients
  • Effective case management including advising on trial procedures, interviewing clients/witnesses and advising on appropriate court procedures
  • Conduct legal research using appropriate sources and tools to produce accurate and relevant legal advice (both oral and written) for clients
  • Managing junior associates as required

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Excellent academics
  • Singapore qualified
  • Excellent written and oral communication, with strong negotiation and drafting abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience with Singapore Court matters
  • Arbitration experience
  • where a level of experience is indicated, this is a guideline only and represents the amount of time we would usually expect a candidate to accumulate the requisite level of experience. This does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.

Kennedys Legal Solutions is the Singapore office of the international law firm Kennedys which has 71 offices and associated office/cooperations around the world.

Legal Solutions LLC and Kennedys Legal Solutions specialise in providing legal services for litigation, arbitration, corporate and conveyancing services as well as healthcare, employment, construction, aviation, shipping, capital markets, regulatory and corporate and insurance advice.

  • Services such as litigation, conveyancing, criminal and family law are undertaken solely by Legal Solutions LLC due to Singapore regulations.
  • We encourage all of our lawyers to build relationships with our clients at all levels and candidates should expect significant client contact.
