Licensing and Business Development Associate Director Chemistry (APAC)
Your role:The Licensing and Business Development Associate Director is to cover the APAC region with a focus on Chemistry within Science and Lab Solutions. Other domains such as diagnostics raw materials, biological applications, and biomonitoring will also be covered within this role. You will identify and execute external partnerships in line with the franchises strategies. You will source and manage a broad network of partners with the intent to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities for strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities contributing toward annual revenue and margin targets. Deal types to include, but not be limited to, co-development, licensing, distribution, co-marketing, OEM, and research collaborations. You will be responsible for scouting partners, evaluating and negotiating deals, and drafting and executing contracts while coordinating multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, legal, product management, regulatory, and quality.
The role will require travel, including international, up to 30% of time.

Who You Are:
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry AND 5+ years industry experience in owning a P&L or in an external innovation role with demonstrated deal closure OR
Graduate Degree in a chemistry field or MBA AND 3+ years industry experience in owning a P&L or in an external innovation role with demonstrated deal closure; if MBA, undergraduate degree must be in Chemistry
Demonstrated experience in negotiation and knowledge of basic contract language and contract negotiation
Financial acumen and ability to build and defend financial analyses and business cases including DCFs for both consumables and digital assets
Strong networking and intelligence gathering skills
Ability to operate as individual contributor in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources
Strong presentation skills
Experience working within a matrixed environment.
Understanding of IP protections, contract negotiations, and Venture Capital
Proficiency in German or French language is a plus
